Kunst & Vliegwerk workshop — Teylers Museum

Kunst & Vliegwerk workshop

Family workshop: create your own cabinet of curiosities

At Teylers Museum, the oldest museum in the Netherlands, everything has been collected to get to know the world better: fossils, drawings by famous artists, luminous stones, devices with which you can generate electricity, books with the most beautiful pictures of animals and plants, golden coins and more! You also call these special objects 'rarities'.

If you want to make your own collection you can join our Kunst & Vliegwerk workshop and make your own rarities! You'll get a box in which you can put a special object. If you come with your whole family, everyone can make a box, put them together and hang your own cabinet of curiosities on the wall at home.

Who are they for?

For everyone starting at 4 years old! Young children are welcome, accompanied by an adult. Children who are 6 years of age or older can take part independently, but it may be even more fun to do the activities together with their parent, grandparent or other carer.

Do you want to join in?

Ask for a voucher at the museum entrance for the Kunst & Vliegwerk workshop. It is free to participate, aside from the regular museum admission fee. If you have any questions, you can call the Public Affairs Department, at tel. +31 (0)23 516 0972, or send an e-mail to kunstenvliegwerk@teylersmuseum.nl
