Welcome to Teylers Museum!

It goes without saying that the museum puts the health of its visitors and staff above all else. We have therefore introduced the following rules to ensure that your museum visit is as safe and pleasant as possible.

  • Everyone must be in possession of a ticket with a time slot. Make sure you are able to produce your ticket – along with your discount card, if you have one – at the entrance.

  • We have mapped out a fixed one-way route around the museum. After the first rooms, please keep right. Be sure to comply with any instructions you receive from members of staff.

  • If you wish to use the audio tour: you can listen to it on your mobile phone by scanning the QR code on the front, or use one of the museum’s audioplayers.

  • Some of the rooms remain closed for now. These are the Magician's Cabinet and the Luminescence Cabinet

  • To be able to keep enough distance to other visitors, we might ask you to please wait until other visitors have left the room.

  • The use of the cloakroom is limited: do not bring large bags.

  • The museum café is open.

  • The museum shop is open. Payments by card only.

  • Take care to disinfect your hands frequently. We have provided hand sanitiser at diverse locations around the museum.

  • There will be no guided tours for the time being.

Please be attentive to the well-being of your fellow visitors

  • Always stay 1.5 meters away from anyone who does not belong to your own household.
  • Ensure that your own group remains together, as far as possible.
  • Keep to the hygiene rules.
  • Do you feel ill or have a cold? Then please go home.

We trust we can count on your cooperation.

We very much hope that you will enjoy your visit to our museum!
